First introduced in 1972 the Ducati 750 Sport has at its heart the classic round case bevel drive, air cooled, 90 degree twin powerhouse with a five speed gearbox. Produced in very limited numbers, this model was a high performance version of the more consumer friendly 750GT and sits between the GT and the full race, stratospherically valued 750 SS.
This example is one very cool bike - it is a 1973 model, the first year with a narrow frame and steel gas tank. It also has the front leading axle Marzocchi fork, black engine cases, Scarab front disc brake, three ball type rear shocks, and Borrani 19 and 18 inch wheels. It is VIN# 752904, Frame# 753097, one of only 746 produced that year and comes with both the monoposto and the rare biposto seat, which was an original option.
The motorcycle has had a complete nuts and bolt restoration by well known Canadian Ducati guru Paul Lacelle, and was professionally painted by a local passionate vintage motorcycle enthusiast. The engine has had a complete rebuild with all the right parts, including a Sifton cam which gives it a very nice mid range. The 32 mm Delllorto carbs were rebuilt, wheels were rebuilt and the tires, wiring harness, switches, and battery are all new.
This is a one kick bike that has been perfectly dialled in and is a very reasonably priced investment, at far below internationally valued comparable bikes.
The bike is registered in Quebec and located in Mt. Tremblant, QC and is offered at $40,000 which includes shipping within Canada. Also included is a shop manual and various spare parts.
