Here is a lovely survivor- a US model 1968 BMW R60/2, with all three matching numbers . The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt - new pistons, valves, heads done (they are the nice LK heads) all bearings, seals, rubber parts, clutch, cables etc. Slingers of course.
It recently got new brakes and cables, an Emerald Isle coil and an LED headlight.
The carbs were completely rebuilt and vapour honed before reassembly, with new throttle cables installed. The tires were new a few years ago. The exhaust is after market but the paint is original. The tank is near perfect but the rest, not so much.
The clock reads 62,000 miles of which 1-2,000 miles were in the last 8 years or so while the current owner has had it.
Included in the sale is the Bible of /2 manuals a huge thing from Barrington that goes with the bike, an original “sofa seat†and miscellaneous bits and pieces.
The bike is located on Salt Spring island,BC and is offered at $10,500.
