In the mid to late '60's, the Honda CB450 and Suzuki T500 Cobra/Titan were slaying the British big twins and the huge North American market was demanding more and more performance. When Kawasaki unveiled their new H1 500 2 stroke triple, they claimed it the fastest and best accelerating machine ever produced, capable
of 124 mph and 12.4 seconds for the standing quarter mile. Dunlop developed special K77 tires specifically for these bikes.
This fine example is a fully restored, 1971 model in the rare metallic blue livery. The bike underwent a full restoration in 2024 with an engine/crankshaft rebuild, and carbs rebuilt. It also had new brakes, shocks, tires, paint, graphics , etc and has since accumulated only 4 miles on the clock. The original engine cases had been damaged and poorly repaired at one point, so 1973 cases were used, but the originals are included in the sale.
the bike is located in Lacombe, AB and is offered at $16,500.
