Hers is a gorgeous and highly collectible 1972 Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide with only 9900 original miles, believed to be correct.
As the story goes this bike was part of a large collection in Texas where the bike was professionally refurbished to exacting specifications. New paint, saddle upholstery, wheels, spokes, tires, hoses, clamps, cables etc. The engine and transmission internal components are untouched. I have had many experts hear the engine running and they all concur it is a very smooth sounding shovel.
This matching number bike has the majority of its original parts which have been either cleaned and untouched or plated, polished and tins repainted in the correct Starburst Purple. It sports the first year front disc brake (not drilled originally). The exhaust fishtail tailpipes were not as per the original but are era specific.
This is an excellent pristine example of the AMF era. The bike has been running many times but currently, it has been properly decommissioned for display in a collection, but it can be
easily recommissioned.
Recent upgrades include several pieces re-chromed, a new OEM Briggs and Stratton ignition switch and a new front caliper which is a high quality German made, exacting replica. (Not shown in all of the pictures). The original Bendix carburetor was rebuilt with a Zenith genuine Bendix carb rebuild kit and an NOS Bendix float bowl.
The bike is located in Burnaby, BC and is offered at $19,000.
