The Yamaha R5 350cc, the predecessor of the famous RD350, is perhaps the crown jewel of two-stroke bikes of the early 70's. It offered impressive low-end torque and top-end speed, with a rock-solid chassis and precise transmission. it was the predecessor of the famous RD350.
Here is a rare and very collectible 1972 example in original, unmolested condition. The bike runs well and everything works, and sports a new front fender, seat and tank badges. The original paint on the top of the tank is fading and the black engine paint is coming off the engine cases. The bike is located in Cranbrook, BC and is offered at $3700.
