Registered as a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 this pristine bike has a build date of 11/72 and a low VIN number, Z1F 2568. The first of the superbikes and the one that dethroned the Honda CB750. The ever iconic early Z1.
This is a very comprehensive restoration / rebuild featuring a professionally built engine by Pit Stop Performance in Florida. The engine was then bench tested and run at Pit Stop in Florida. Carburetors were rebuilt and refurbished by Wired George in Texas.
There are no miles on this build and everything is new or reconditioned as new.
About 97% of all parts are genuine Kawasaki, many original to this bike, many hard to find OEM that were completely refurbished and many harder to find NOS parts. OEM correct gauges were rebuilt professionally and it was reported these have the less
common hard steel internals. All engine cases are S-1, polished and beautiful. OEM correct small emblem fuel tank was internally cleaned, pressure tested and lined with a clear light weight coating.
The superb paint work on the original tank, side covers and tail piece is by a local expert.
Original black insulation seat is in amazing condition. The wheels, were rebuilt with new chrome finishes on the date coded TAKASAGO rims, polished hubs with new bearings and seals, original spokes were cleaned and re-plated.
Notable other "John Brooks" early Z1 nuances and date coded parts are shown in dozens more pictures available upon request. Also a comprehensive file of all parts and services invoices is included.
The bike is located in Burnaby, BC, Canada, and is offered at 35,000.00 CAD
Note to Canadian customers ONLY. This motorcycle collection is held and owned by an incorporated holding company with an active GST account. As such it is duty bound to collect the GST at time of sale and remit it Revenue Canada.
In British Columbia for example, 12% PST is collected on all vehicles sold and transferred.
In this case only 7% PST would be collected at time of transfer and registration by an autopian agent. The Bill of sale would display our GST # and the 5% GST amount collected.
